Sydney, 16 July 2026 – HOYTS, Australia’s leading cinema company, today announced the appointment of Stephanie Mills to the newly created role of Managing Director, effective immediately.
Stephanie brings more than 20 years of experience in the Australian cinema and entertainment industry, having built an exceptional career spanning marketing, content, commercial strategy and corporate leadership.
HOYTS Group President and CEO, Damian Keogh, said Stephanie’s appointment reflects both her outstanding leadership credentials and deep understanding of the exhibition industry.
“Stephanie has been a standout performer in HOYTS’ ascendancy in recent years to the number one exhibitor in Australia. She has great passion and experience in the cinema sector and is recognised as a global leader in the field. This new role will focus bringing together areas of the business into a more cohesive team to deliver the best possible customer experience in our cinemas,” Damian said.
Most recently, Stephanie has served as Director of Sales, Marketing & Content at HOYTS Group, where she has led the company’s sales, marketing, movie programming and corporate solutions functions. In this role, she has been responsible for developing integrated commercial and content strategies that have driven business growth, strengthened customer engagement and enhanced the cinema experience for audiences across Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to this role, Stephanie held senior leadership positions within HOYTS, including General Manager of Marketing & Content and General Manager of Marketing. Before joining HOYTS, she spent more than a decade with Reading Entertainment Australia, progressing through a range of commercial leadership roles.
Stephanie also serves as a Director of Creative Content Australia, supporting the screen industry’s efforts to promote copyright awareness, legal content consumption, and the sustainability of Australia’s film and television sector. She is also a Director of Cinema Association Australasia, the peak industry body representing major and independent cinema operators across Australia and New Zealand.
Regarding her appointment, Stephanie said she is thrilled to be taking on the role of Managing Director at HOYTS at such an exciting time for the industry.
