When it comes to release days, there’s none bigger in the movie calendar than Boxing Day. With everyone ready to relax now that Christmas Day and the frantic lead-up to the holiday period have passed us by, there’s nothing better than catching one of the huge Boxing Day releases at HOYTS.

Director of Sales, Marketing and Content Stephanie Mills said that whether you’re looking for a family-friendly outing with the kids or something to be enjoyed on your own, HOYTS has an epic line up of summer releases everyone will love.

“It’s a great way to unwind after a busy Christmas period,” she said. “Sit back and relax in one of our extra-comfy recliners with your favourite candy bar treats and experience the magic of the big screen.”

Boxing Day sees a host of impressive releases including the latest instalment from DC Comics Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, starring Jason Momoa. Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down. See it in 3D for an immersive movie experience.

From ‘Illumination’, the creators of Minions and Despicable Me, comes Migration, a funny, feathered family vacation like no other. Voiced by Awkwafina, Elizabeth Banks and Danny DeVito, with enough comedy to keep the adults entertained too. Ariana DeBose and Chris Pine are the voices behind Disney’s latest heartwarming musical tale Wish, about a young girl who wishes upon a star and gets more than she bargained for when the star comes to Earth.

Looking for something a little more grown-up? After a perfect first date, Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell) go cold on one another, but then find themselves at a destination wedding in Australia in Anyone But You. Filmed in Sydney, this new rom-com is sure to heat things up.

Witness One Life, the inspiring tale based on the true story of Sir Nicholas ‘Nicky’ Winton who saved more than 600 children from their doom in World War II.

If you haven’t seen it already, musical fantasy Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet and Hugh Grant, tells the story of Willy Wonka’s early days as an eccentric chocolatier. A must-see in HOYTS D-BOX with motion recliner seats that will throw you into a world of imagination with the action-packed adventures on the big screen.

“During the holidays, you can save big at HOYTS when you book Family Tickets for any movie rated G or PG in a family of three or four,” Stephanie said.
