Spider-Man: Brand New Day has claimed the biggest opening weekend of 2026, dominating the Australian Box Office with record-breaking results. The blockbuster delivered $30.4M on its debut weekend and attracted over 1.8 million movie fans into cinemas between Thursday 30 July to Sunday 2 August.

The film was released on 30 July and earned $6.3 million on its opening day, marking the biggest Thursday opening since Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. It has also achieved the second-biggest opening weekend in history, trailing only to the $34.1 million four-day opening of Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

The highly anticipated film starring Tom Holland and Zendaya made cinematic history as the first Hollywood blockbuster to be ‘Shot for SCREENX’, integrating SCREENX into the filmmaking process to deliver an immersive 270-degree panoramic viewing experience.
