HSF advises Me& on its USD$2.5 million Seed capital raising led by Horizons and Main Sequence Ventures

Herbert Smith Freehills’ venture capital team has advised Me& on its USD$2.5 million Series Seed capital raise. The round was led by Horizons and Main Sequence Ventures.

Founded by Dr Luis Malaver-Ortega and Esha Saxena, Me& is an Australian company that is developing and commercialising human milk products using proprietary technology. An example of the company’s product is a human milk fortifier used for preterm and vulnerable babies. The new capital will be employed to fund R&D and the growth of the company.

The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by Co-Head of Venture Capital (Australia) Claire Thompson and solicitor Vincent Greco Schwartz, supported by partner Clayton James.

Vincent Greco Schwartz said, “It was a pleasure working with Esha and Luis at such an exciting time in the development of their company. We love advising founders in the early stages of growth and we are excited to see how they will deploy these investments to propel their business into the next phase.”

Esha Saxena said, “We were recommended HSF by fellow founders, and we felt Claire and the team had the expertise to navigate any challenges with this raise, and also grow with us for future rounds.”
