Huntingdale Firearm Incident

Armadale Detectives are investigating a firearm incident in Huntingdale last night, Saturday 1 June 2019.

Around 6:15pm, a woman was driving with her partner and an infant on Balfour Street, when a group of people were seen outside a house. As the vehicle approached the group, a man was seen to throw an unknown object in the direction of their vehicle.

This caused the female driver to brake suddenly. The driver’s partner, a man in his 20’s got out of the vehicle and approached the group. A male appeared from inside the property in possession of what appeared to be a firearm. The male discharged one shot in the general direction of the victim.

The victim, who was uninjured, hurriedly got back into the vehicle before the vehicle left the scene.

Police attended the scene a short time later and located several people at the address who are assisting with the investigation. A search of the premises was conducted and several items of interest were located. The investigation is ongoing.
