Huntly and Raywood station opening celebrations

Vic Department of Transport

The growing communities of Huntly and Raywood are being invited to celebrate the opening of their new train stations this month.

Both stations are opening ahead of schedule, with the new Huntly Station (on the Echuca Line) to open on Saturday 16 July and Raywood Station (on the Swan Hill Line) to open on Sunday 17 July.

To celebrate the opening of these stations, we’re holding a weekend of community events.

Station opening events: Saturday 16 July, 8am-11am at Huntly Station, 101 Wakeman Road, Huntly. Sunday 17 July, 8:30am-11:30am at Raywood Station, 7a Inglewood Street, Raywood.

The events have been timed to coincide with the arrival of the first trains at each station – the first train at Huntly Station is scheduled to arrive at 8.15am on Saturday, while Raywood’s first train is scheduled to arrive at 8.48am on Sunday.

Community members are invited to check out the completed stations at these free family-friendly events, which will include:

  • roving entertainment
  • animal petting farm
  • smoking ceremony, didgeridoo performance and live music
  • face painting
  • sausage sizzle
  • hot drinks
  • ice cream truck
  • baked goods from George’s Bakery

We hope to see you there!

The two new stations have been delivered as part of the Bendigo and Echuca Line Upgrade.
