A man is due in court today charged after a hydroponic cannabis crop worth more than $1m was located in a Bass Hill home.
Officers attached to the South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad (Bankstown) executed a warrant at a home in Trebartha Street about 9.30am yesterday (Thursday 30 July 2026), and located 415 cannabis plants inside being grown hydroponically.
A 41-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Bankstown Police Station where he has been charged with cultivate prohibited plant (commercial quantity).
The man has been refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court today (Friday 31 July 2026).
Police will allege the plants had an estimated potential street value of $1.2 million.
