Hydro set-up uncovered after search warrant executed at Gunnedah, NSW

A man has been charged after police discovered a hydroponic cannabis set-up after executing a search warrant at Gunnedah yesterday.

Just after 9.30am (Tuesday 4 February 2020), officers from Oxley Police District executed a search warrant at a property on Breeza Street, Carroll, east of Gunnedah.

Police found the hydroponic set-up within the home and seized 21 mature cannabis plants, leaf and a firearm component.

A 41-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Gunnedah Police Station, while a five-year-old child living at the home was placed into the care of a family member; a child-at-risk notification has been made.

The man has been charged with possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug, enhanced indoor cultivate prohibited plant-expose child, and acquire firearm part without authority.

The man appeared at Gunnedah Local Court yesterday, and was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 3 March 2020.
