A Tanami man is entering an exciting new chapter as a newly-minted millionaire after discovering he had won $1 million in a recent Weekday Windfall draw.
The Northern Territory resident held one of two division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4764, drawn Monday, 5 October 2026. He took home a clean $1 million.
When we confirmed the life-changing news, the winner was momentarily lost for words.
“Thank you! I’m very happy!” he laughed.
“I don’t even know what to say. I’m in complete shock.
“I’ve been playing my whole life, since I was 18 years old.
“I checked the ticket on my phone and I was in shock. I had to come into the newsagency where I bought it so they could check it as well. I wanted to make sure it was real.
“I’m really, really shocked.
“Once the prize is paid, I’ll tell my brothers and other family members!
“Thank you! Thank you!”
With $1 million heading his way, the Territorian plans to spruce up his home and buy a new set of wheels.
“This prize will help me renovate the house!” he shared.
“I can also buy a new car which is exciting.”
His winning entry was purchased at Paper & Pen, Shop T58 Gateway Shopping Centre, 1 Roystonea Avenue,Yarrawonga.
Paper & Pen owner Paige Watteau said the team were excited by the winning news.
“We’re very excited! We’ve been waiting for a long time to sell another division one winning entry, so it was an incredible feeling to finally hear the news that we did,” she said.
