The discussions at RCAR this week come as IAG recently released its landmark Australian-first research into Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which found that broader adoption and use of technologies such as autonomous emergency braking and lane keeping assist could prevent one in five road casualties on Australian roads.

RCAR is the global association of motor insurance research institutes. Its members undertake research into vehicle safety, damage prevention and repair technology, with the aim of reducing crashes, lowering repair costs and improving vehicle repair outcomes. IAG is the only Australian member of RCAR.
