IDAHOBIT 2019 – Richmond Park – 17 May

Hawkesbury Community Outreach Services, ACON and Hawkesbury City Council are proud to host the screening of ‘Boy Erased’ at this free IDAHOBIT event in partnership with local community services. Please join us to stand with our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBTI) community and promote inclusion for all in the Hawkesbury.

Council is proud to sponsor IDAHOBIT Day in the Hawkesbury in 2019. International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersex and Transgender, IDAHOBIT Day, is a day to draw attention to the discrimination experienced by LGBTI people internationally.

The event will feature the screening of ‘Boy Erased’, a film based on a true story of a young man subjected to conversion therapy. Members of the public are advised that this film is classified MA15+. Films classified MA15+ can only be screened to people aged 15 years or older, unless they are accompanied by their parent or guardian.

This event is being held in partnership with a number of local services, demonstrating the commitment throughout the Hawkesbury to recognising and celebrating diversity in our community. Please join us at this free event for film, food and to promote inclusion in our community.
