IDAHOBIT Day: Casey

Today is IDAHOBIT Day, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia.

IDAHOBIT Day is a time to celebrate the progress we’ve made while raising awareness about the ongoing discrimination faced by LGBTIQA+ individuals.

In Australia, discrimination remains all too common. Here at the City of Casey, we’re committed to building a community that welcomes, accepts, celebrates, and includes all LGBTIQA+ individuals.

To achieve this, we are developing an LGBTIQA+ Action Plan. This plan will be shaped by community engagement to gain a deeper understanding of how the Council can support and create opportunities for connection, as well as develop LGBTIQA+ services.

Let’s stand together and make Casey a community where everyone feels safe, accepted, and celebrated for who they are. To find our how you can get involved, visit the IDAHOBIT website.
