Programs & Promotions Officer Jeannie Hazell said the library is thrilled to be able to offer three fun sessions with experienced puppeteer Jenny Ellis from Little Wing Puppets.

“It will be a lot of fun for the participants who will get to imagine and design their own puppets and then learn how to cut and craft their creation,” Ms Hazell said.

“Jenny will guide them through that process and give them tips and tricks on how to bring them to life with the shadow puppetry, such as how to move them, where to put them so the light catches them and shadows work correctly.

“They will finish with a performance of their own stories on a real shadow puppet stage and they can take their puppet home at the end of the workshop.”

The session will be held at 10am, 1pm and 3pm in the Wagga Wagga City Council Meeting Room, opposite the library entrance.

Participants aged six and under must be accompanied by an adult.
