Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a man in relation to an incident at a residence in Balga last night, Sunday 10 May 2020, in which a woman was indecently assaulted.
It is alleged the man forced entry into the home and the 81-year-old female occupant woke to find him on top of her. It is further alleged the man indecently assaulted her and when she screamed he grabbed her around the throat and punched her.
The man fled the home and police were called. Mirrabooka Detectives took carriage of the investigation and this morning, Monday 11 May 2020, they arrested a 21-year-old man.
The 21-year-old man from Balga has been charged with:-
• Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit;
• Aggravated Indecent Assault;
• Deprivation of Liberty; and
• Possess Drug Paraphernalia.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow, Tuesday 12 May 2020.
