Community-based organisations can now apply for funding through the 2020-21 Indigenous Languages and Arts program open competitive grant opportunity.
The program invests around $20 million in funding each year, to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to preserve and teach Indigenous languages and arts, build a strong sense of cultural identity and wellbeing, and increase wider recognition of indigenous languages and arts in the community.
In 2019-20, the program funded 128 organisations to deliver over 160 projects that supported a wide variety of community-based Indigenous languages and arts activities.
Applications close on 6 April 2020 at 11.59 pm (AEDT).
