Industry leader to strengthen Townsville Hospital and Health Board

An industry leader in the finance and business management sector is the newest appointment to the Townsville Hospital and Health Board.

Luke Guazzo will be joining the board, alongside reappointed members Robert Whaleboat and Danette Hocking.

Continuing members Tony Mooney AM, Michelle Morton, Professor Ajay Rane OAM, Georgina Whelan, Debra Burden and Nicole Hayes will make up the remainder of the nine-person board.

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Yvette D’Ath said Mr Guazzo’s appointment showed his dedication to his community.

“I am pleased to welcome Mr Guazzo to our Townsville Hospital and Health Board,” Ms D’Ath said.

“Mr Guazzo has been proudly supporting his community for decades and this is just another way he will be assisting the people of Townsville.

“We have been incredibly lucky to have such a strong board for the last four years and I look forward to seeing Mr Guazzo’s contribution to the board during his tenure.”
