Information regarding injured man at South Plympton

Detectives from Southern District CIB are seeking information from the public after a man was found with serious head injuries at South Plympton last month.

Just before noon on Wednesday 14 December, police were called to a block of units on Pleasant Avenue after blood was located in the stairwell of the complex.

Officers followed the blood trail to a second floor unit and found a 63-year-old man with a serious head injury. The man was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition and this is where he remains.

Southern District Detectives attended along with Crime Scene Investigators to examine the circumstances as to how the man came to be injured.

Detectives have made numerous enquiries including checking nearby CCTV but are still yet to confirm how his injuries occurred.

Police are asking anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around the units on that day, or has any information that may assist the investigation to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
