Hume City Council has cautiously welcomed the Federal Government’s 2019-20 Budget, which featured support for infrastructure as a key focus.
Mayor of Hume City, Councillor Carly Moore said the Federal Budget’s $1.14 billion Suburban Roads Upgrade package was promising.
“We know that for a long time now, Hume City’s roads have just not kept up with the needs of our growing community,” Cr Moore said.
“We are pleased that this Federal Budget makes a commitment to upgrade Sunbury Road through a $1.14 billion Suburban Roads Upgrades program.
