Inquiries continue following fight in Penrith

Inquiries continue into a fight in Sydney’s west early this morning.

Just before 1.30am today (Sunday 3 February 2019), police were called to the car park of a fast food outlet on Mulgoa Road, Penrith, after reports of a fight.

On arrival officers located an unresponsive 32-year-old man suffering a head injury and a 34-year-old man with minor facial injuries.

Police have been told the men were injured during a fight in the carpark with five unknown men who fled the scene before officers arrived.

The injured pair were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before they were taken to Westmead Hospital.

The younger man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition and is being treated for several facial fractures.

The older man has since been released.

Detectives from Nepean Police Area Command have launched an investigation into the incident and would like to speak to five men who may be able to assist them along with anyone who may have witnessed the incident and is yet to speak with police.
