Inspiring women to get active

Women are encouraged to get involved in This Girl Can, a Victorian government campaign that aims to inspire women to smash old-fashioned stereotypes about what they can and can’t do in sport, in the gym and in their neighbourhoods.

Join in a range of activities during the campaign from October 9 to 15.

There will be fun, free or (low-cost) activities designed to welcome beginners, and those who are curious enough to try something new.

Warriors Dragon Boat Club will be hosting This Girl Can sessions as a fun way to try dragon boating.

There will be sessions on Saturday, October 7 from 8.45am, Monday, October 9 from 5.45pm and Wednesday, October 11 from 5.45pm.

Aligned Leisure – Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre will host free classes during launch week.

Come and try some of the centre’s classes for FREE. Bring a friend, and you’ll both receive a five-visit free pass.
