Insulation improvement works have been completed at the Narrandera Sports Stadium thanks to funding of $65,000 secured through the fourth Round of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund, as well as $65,000 contributed by Narrandera Shire Council.
Local Member for the Cootamundra electorate Steph Cooke, alongside Mayor Cr Neville Kschenka, Cr Peter Dawson, Acting General Manger Martin Hiscox and Deputy General Manager for Infrastructure Shane Wilson attended the Stadium on Wednesday 15 March 2023 for the official opening of the newly installed insulation.
Mayor Cr Neville Kschenka has welcomed the upgrade to Narrandera Stadium, “The NSW Government’s support has enabled Council to make significant improvements to this valued and popular facility. Local contractors PCR Building Services carried out the project, installing insulation across the interior of the walls to provide greater comfort and acoustics for users throughout the year.
“Our sporting facilities are some of the best in the Riverina, and we are eager to continue making improvements to these vital venues to encourage more regional sporting events across Narrandera Shire.”
