International concert pianist coming to Theatre

Globe-trotting concert pianist Roman Rudnytsky has been travelling the world since the 1970s, presenting his renowned concerto in venues from the Sydney Opera House to town halls.

He will be performing works from all the greatest classical masters at Griffith Regional Theatre on Sunday 11 August at 3pm.

Roman Rudnytsky, a celebrated concert pianist from the USA, has performed in over 100 countries. He has toured Australia since 1979 performing over 600 concerts in all states and the Northern Territory, from the Sydney Opera House to many country and outback towns.

His 2019 tour is his twenty-first in Australia, with Griffith one of 30 concerts on his itinerary. Roman’s recent travels have seen him touring the USA, UK, the Pacific Islands of Guam and Saipan, Chile, and the seven seas as a guest artist on Cunard and P&O cruise ships.

This will be his first performance at the Griffith Regional Theatre, where Roman will perform a concerto featuring selected works from the greatest classical composers – including Johan Sebastian BACH’S Toccata and Fugue in D minor; Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata in E Flat; Robert Schuman’s Fantasie in C; and Franz LISZT’s Hungarian Rhapsody’s No 2 and No 12; Edvard Grieg’s In the Halls of the Mountain King; plus many more.
