Major Changes to Development Application and Construction Certificate Lodgement Process
From July 1 next week, how you submit Development Applications (DAs) and Construction certificates (CC) will change.
The NSW Department of Planning, Investment & Environment has introduced a mandatory state-wide online planning portal to lodge, update and prepare all development, construction and complying development applications, rather than submitting them through Council. Whether you are wanting to build or renovate your home, shed, pool, business, or large-scale plans such as a solar farm, all lodgements must be submitted through this planning portal.
What does this mean for you?
From 1 July if you wish to make an application submission you will need to lodge it through this planning portal directly www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au.

This is a major change to how development and construction applications have been lodged previously and we understand that not everyone is comfortable using online. We strongly encourage anyone looking at undertaking a development to come to Council and we will assist you with the online lodgement process.

- Documentation in either soft or hard copy
