Police have commenced an investigation into a fire which destroyed a home in Armidale.
About 10.15pm (Friday 21 June 2019), emergency services were called to attend a house fire on McBean Avenue.
Upon arrival the house was fully engulfed in flames and was extinguished by Fire Brigade crew by 1.20am, however the house incurred significant structural damage.
No persons were located inside the home at the time.
Police and investigators attached to New England Police District established a crime scene and continue investigations into the incident.
Investigators are treating the fire as suspicious.
