Officers from Boronia continue to investigate an assault which occurred in Boronia on 16 September 2022.
It is alleged four men approached another at a licensed venue on Boronia Road about 10pm.
An altercation occurred between the men and the victim, a 20-year-old man, was struck in the head with a chair.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police have interviewed two men in relation to the incident.
A 20-year-old man from Boronia and a 21-year-old man from Wantirna South were interviewed earlier this month and released pending further enquires.
Investigators still wish to identify two men they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The men are perceived to be Caucasian and 20-25-years old.
One man was wearing grey Nike trackpants, a blue Nike hooded jumper and white Nike Air Force Ones.
The other man was wearing black pants, a Tommy Hilfiger hooded jumper and red and black Asics Quantum 360 sneakers.
Investigators have released images of two men who may be able to assist them with their enquires.
