An investigation is underway following the death of a teenage girl in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
About 5.45pm on Sunday (23 August 2026), emergency services were called to a home in Elanora Heights, following reports of a concern for welfare.
On arrival, NSW Ambulance paramedics found a 16-year-old girl unresponsive.
She was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
Police have since been told the 16-year-old died in hospital last night (Tuesday 25 August 2026).
Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.
Inquiries are ongoing.
