Investigations continue after man charged with traffic offence, NSW

A man has been charged with traffic offences following a wide-scale search across the Western Region.

About 2am on Monday (18 November 2019), a Hyundai sedan was stolen from a home in Raglan, 8km east of Bathurst.

Officers from Chifley Police District were notified and commenced an investigation, with the assistance of officers from Central West Police District and Polair.

Following inquiries, officers located the stolen Hyundai sedan at Orange on Monday afternoon.

About 5.30pm, the man was seen by police in a vehicle in the Parkes CBD.

Following a short foot pursuit, the 22-year-old man was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station where he was charged with drive whilst disqualified, use carriage service to threaten to kill, and an outstanding warrant.

Police will allege in court that the man contacted and threatened a number of people known to him.

The man appeared at Forbes Local Court yesterday (Tuesday 19 November 2019) and was granted conditional bail to appear at Bathurst Local Court on Monday 6 January 2019.
