Issuing of land titles

The following comments are attributed to Greater Geelong Director Planning, Design & Development Gareth Smith:

Does the City of Greater Geelong have stats on how many titles have been created in all growth areas during April?

Titles were released in 11 stages during April, resulting in the issuing of 396 lots. About 90 per cent of these are from the Armstrong Creek Growth Area, which will ultimately provide for 22,000 lots and a population of around 55,000-65,000 people. About 30 per cent of the total urban development in the Armstrong Creek Growth Area has been delivered.

How many planning permits have been submitted for new houses to be built this year, and how does that correspond to recent years?

Single dwellings do not require planning permits. We received the community infrastructure levy payment for 69 single dwellings in April. This compares to 53 in April 2019. We received 253 for the first four months of 2020, compared to 292 for the same period in 2019.
