Jewellery store break-in, South Australia

Police are investigating a break-in at a city jewellers in the early hours of this morning.

The front window of a jewellery store inside Adelaide Arcade was smashed and jewellery stolen from the displays.

A security guard discovered the break-in and smashed glass while patrolling the arcade just before 6am on Wednesday 2 December.

The break-in is believed to have occurred sometime between 4am and 6am. The quantity of stolen jewellery is not yet known at this stage, but is described as contemporary designs in sterling silver.

A trail of blood was found at the scene and crime scene investigators will attend this morning.
