Mahmood Mosque will host Jewish, Christian and Islamic faith leaders for an Iftar Dinner on Sunday 17th March 2024.
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, holds spiritual significance for Muslims worldwide. It is a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community.
This year Ramadan comes amidst an ongoing war in the Middle East, as well rising prospects of a third world war. Closer to home, we find our communities becoming increasingly polarised. In this context, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is hosting an Iftar Dinner on Sunday 17th March, with leaders from the Jewish, Christian and Islamic faiths breaking bread under one roof. The faith leaders will discuss the concept of fasting in their respective faiths. Over 400 community members are expected to be in attendance.
