Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Ltd. (Jinergy), a China-based technology-driven PV manufacturer, announced that the company provide 5.3MW Mono PERC module for JTC Solar Farm, the first ground-mounted solar farm in Singapore. The solar farm was grid connected in May 2019.
Taking 3.9 hectares, JTC Solar Farm, the first large scale solar farm connected to Singapore grid, is invested by JTC Group and operated by Terrenus Energy. The solar farm employs 5.3MW Jinergy PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) monocrystalline solar modules, which could generate more power than regular solar modules with solar cell efficiency over 22.3%. The project is estimated to generate 6.6 GWh electricity each year after grid-connection, which supports the energy consumption of 1,475 4-room flats annually and reduces carbon emission by 2,700 tons each year.
