Almost 300 Eurobodalla residents found work last year with the help of Eurobodalla Council’s Job Shop. The service has now been recognised as one of the best local government initiatives in NSW.
The Job Shop won the Special Project Initiative (Population under 100,000) category at the 2026 NSW Local Government Excellence Awards for connecting local people with local jobs.
The Job Shop’s success comes down to working closely with both jobseekers and local businesses to create lasting employment outcomes – a simple approach that’s making a real difference across Eurobodalla.
In 2025, the free service connected jobseekers with thousands of employment opportunities, helping almost 300 people secure work while supporting local businesses to find the staff they need.
The Job Shop was one of 10 finalists in the category, with projects from councils including Byron, Strathfield, Waverley and Wollondilly.
If you’re looking for work or need to fill a vacancy, The Job Shop is a free service connecting local jobseekers and businesses across Eurobodalla. Find out how the team can help or sign up for weekly job alerts. Learn more about the Job Shop.
