Joondalup District crime spree arrests

Detectives from Joondalup’s Rapid High Harm Offender Response team have charged three juvenile boys as a result of a number of serious offences that occurred between Saturday 7 May and Sunday 8 May 2022 in a number northern suburb locations.

It will be alleged these offences included a burglary at a home in Joondalup on Saturday 7 May 2022.

Detectives allege the three boys attended the home and attempted to force entry.

It will be further alleged that a 14-year-old boy was home at the time and attempted to stop the boys from entering the home, before he was assaulted.

An 11-year-old boy has been charged with:

•Attempted Aggravated Armed Robbery;

•2 x Aggravated home burglary and commit;

•6 x Aggravated Burglary and commit;

•7 x Stealing; and

•Steal Motor Vehicle.

He appeared in the Perth Children’s Court 9 May 2022 and is due to reappear on 24 May 2022.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with:

•Attempted Aggravated Armed Robbery;

•2 x Aggravated home burglary and commit;

•6 x Aggravated Burglary and commit;

•7 x Stealing; and

•2 x Steal Motor Vehicle.

He appeared in the Perth Children’s Court 9 May 2022 and is due to reappear on 23 May 2022.

The 15-year-old boy has been charged with:

•Attempted Aggravated Armed Robbery;

•2 x Aggravated home burglary and commit;

•6 x Aggravated Burglary and commit;

•2 x Aggravated burglary with intent;

•6 x Stealing;

•Stealing by Opening Locked Room, Box or other Receptacle by means of a Key or other instrument;

•2 x Steal Motor Vehicle.

He is due to appear in the Perth Children’s Court today 11 May 2022.

Investigations into other incidents in the district reported during this time are still ongoing.
