Joshua Naggs wanted on warrant after police cars rammed in South Melbourne

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Joshua Naggs.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the 31-year-old who is wanted after two police cars were rammed in South Melbourne last week.

Officers were called to a welfare check on Kings Way to reports of two men slumped in a car just after 3am on Friday 5 April.

Police positioned their vehicles near the car and placed stop sticks underneath before the men woke up and attempted to assault police.

They attempted to flee the scene in their car and collided with the police vehicles.

The offending vehicle was later located under the on-ramp under the West Gate freeway about 3.40am

Naggs is described as having short dark hair with a solid build.

He is known to frequent Truganina, Craigieburn and Preston areas.

Investigators have released an image of Naggs in the hope someone may be able to provide information on his current whereabouts.
