Council is delighted to announce some exciting news from Council’s June Scheduled Meeting. We have awarded the following grants and sponsorships to some of the wonderful community groups and events that enrich our region:
- Event Support Grant – Events of State Significance: Lions Club of Marysville and District Inc – Marysville Music Weekend. This grant will enable the Lions Club to host their annual music festival, which showcases local and national talent and attracts visitors from across the state.
- Fee Reduction: Murrindindi Film Society – Murrindindi Film Society Season 2023. This fee reduction will support the film society to continue offering quality films for its members and guests, fostering a love of cinema and culture in our community.
- Community Project & Event Grant: Goulburn Valley Suicide Awareness Group – Suicide Awareness Walk #3. This grant will assist the Suicide Awareness Group to organise their annual walk in Yea, which raises awareness of suicide and provides support for people who have been affected by suicide.
We are very proud of these organisations and their valuable contributions to our vibrant and diverse community. We invite you to join us in congratulating them and supporting their events.
