New key worker accommodation for paramedics in Jindabyne will help attract and retain frontline health workers, supporting the delivery of emergency healthcare services across the Snowy Mountains region.
Jindabyne is set to benefit from new Key Health Worker Accommodation for NSW Ambulance paramedics, as part of the Minns Labor Government’s $10 million investment to help attract more front-line health staff to the Snowy Mountains region.
Dungog, Kyogle and Deniliquin will also receive key worker accommodation for paramedics, with additional locations selected on greatest need being finalised.
The $10 million for housing NSW Ambulance staff is allocated from the Minns Government’s $200.1 million Key Health Worker Accommodation program delivered in the 2024-2025 State budget.
The $200.1 million Key Health Worker Accommodation program supports more than 20 projects across rural, regional and remote NSW.
The funding will secure approximately 120 homes across regional NSW, which includes the building of new accommodation, refurbishment of existing living quarters and the purchase of suitable properties such as residential units.
This program builds on the success of the NSW Government’s $73.2 million investment accommodation for key healthcare workers in Far West, Murrumbidgee, Southern NSW, Hunter New England and Western NSW local health districts.
The Minns Labor Government is committed to supporting our paramedic workforce by rolling out 500 additional paramedics in regional, rural and remote communities.
