Kids and planet getting healthy at Library

Kids can learn how to keep their bodies and our planet healthy at the free Healthy Kids Healthy Planet mini expo these school holidays.

Libraries Manager Camille Cullinan said the mini expo would be ideal for kids of all ages and their families.

“Kids will learn about growing and eating healthy food, the importance of drinking water, and how to look after our planet through composting, recycling and reducing waste,” she said.

“We’ve got lots of fun and interactive activities lined up, and some giveaways too.”

Ms Cullinan said experts from Swan Hill District Health, Lower Murray Water, Zero Waste Swan Hill, North Central Catchment Management Authority, and Loddon Mallee Waste and Resource Recovery Group would be there to share their knowledge.

The free Healthy Kids Health Planet mini expo will be held on Tuesday, 9 July from 2pm until 4pm at the Swan Hill Library. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Bookings are preferred, so please contact the Library on 5036 2480.
