Kids can get creative with NGV Kids on Tour

Come play and get creative at the National Gallery of Victoria’s NGV Kids on Tour.

This year’s theme is PLAYTIME and the workshop will feature KAWS-inspired sculpture, drawing and collage.

Brian Donnelly, aka KAWS, is known as a prominent and prolific artist.

His body of work straddles the worlds of art, fashion and design to include paintings, murals, large-scale sculptures, street and public art, and fashion, graphic and product design.

His work is infused with humour, humanity and affection for our times. Admired for his larger-than-life sculptures and colour-filled paintings, KAWS’s cast of hybrid cartoon and human characters are drawn from pop-culture animations and form a distinctive artistic vocabulary.

The free workshop will be held at Wodonga Plaza from 11am to 1pm.

PLAYTIME is a take home kit containing a pop-up surprise and a special set of alphabet stickers drawn by KAWS. This activity invites children to play with letters, spell new words and when complete, take their kit home to display proudly in their room.

NGV Kids is generously supported by The Truby and Florence Williams Charitable Trust, managed by Equity Trustees and Official Supplier, Canson Australia.
