Kinder Enrolment Made Easy With New Support Services

VIC Premier

The Victorian Government is making it easier for parents to find the right kindergarten program for their child with the launch of a new website and phone enquiry line.

Minister for Early Childhood Ingrid Stitt today launched the Find a Kinder Program website and the Three-Year-Old Kindergarten Enquiry Line – giving families ease of access to the right information when it comes to selecting the best kindergarten program in their area.

The Find a Kinder Program website is a one-stop-shop, allowing parents to search and find kindergarten programs in convenient locations that suit their needs.

Translatable in over 100 languages, the site allows parents to search from a 2 to 40 kilometre radius from any address. A map and list of the funded and approved kindergarten programs in long day care or standalone kindergarten settings is then provided.

The site also highlights programs with the Kinder Tick, an initiative launched earlier this year that identifies approved and funded kindergarten programs delivered by a qualified teacher.

Parents who are interested in accessing Three-Year-Old Kinder can also call the new Three-Year-Old Kindergarten Enquiry Line, helping families locate and access information on how and when to enrol their child in the program as well as discuss the range of services offered.

In an Australian first, the Government has announced almost $5 billion to deliver 15 hours of funded kindergarten programs for three-year-old children in Victoria by 2029. Find out more at www.vic.gov.au/kinder.
