Joondalup Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a car being set on fire in Koondoola early this morning, 12 February 2019.
About 3.30am, an unknown person(s) have set fire to a Mazda CX7 which was parked in the driveway of a home on Koondoola Avenue. The fire gutted the vehicle and extensively damaged a Hyundai LM wagon that was parked next to the Mazda.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended and extinguished the fire which caused an estimated $400,000 damage.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident or who has any dash cam footage of the area around the time of the fire. Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the apprehension and subsequent conviction of an arsonist.
