Laptop stolen by duo in Clayton

Clayton police are appealing for public assistance after a laptop was stolen in Clayton earlier this month.

Officers believe the unknown man and woman entered a store on Princes Highway about 4.35pm on Wednesday, 5 July.

The duo walked around the store looking at numerous laptops on display before the man is seen to remove what appears to be bolt cutters while the woman appears to be keeping a lookout.

Police were told the man cut the security cable securing the laptop to the table, before placing it into an enviro carry bag.

The man and woman then leave the store and were last seen walking through a carpark.

The laptop is valued at $6099.

Investigators have released images and CCTV of a man and woman who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian and was wearing a black puffer vest, tracksuit pants, a beanie and white runners.

He was carrying a black and blue striped carry bag.

The woman is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, with platinum blonde hair and wearing a black hoodie, pants and shoes.
