The Newell Highway has reopened between the Mid Western Highway at Back Creek and Wennings Road, south of Forbes, after being closed due to flooding.
Other major roads remain closed including:
- The Kamilaroi Highway is closed east of Bourke, between Dry Bogan Road and Bogan River.
- The Cobb Highway remains closed between Booligal and Mossgiel, south of Ivanhoe.
- Kidman Way is still closed at Wallanthery.
- The Riverina Highway remains closed near Coreen, north west of Albury.
Motorists travelling in flood-affected areas are advised to take extra care.
In addition to state managed roads, some local roads managed by councils may also be affected.
