Latrobe City Council Establishes Reference Group for Major Car Park Project

Latrobe City Council is seeking interest from local community members to be part of the Project Reference Group for the exciting development of a multi-level car park at 2 Kay Street Traralgon.

The project is part of the Victorian Governments Regional Car Parks Fund, which is set to deliver 900 new spaces across Traralgon, Morwell and Moe.

As a member, you will work closely with Council and other key stakeholders to help shape this key piece of infrastructure that will benefit the community for generations to come.

Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Kellie O’Callaghan said the Project Reference Group will work collaboratively with Council to assist in identifying what potential refinements and updates can be made to the project.

“Recent customer satisfaction surveys have shown that car parking is a key priority for the broader community, membership on the Project Reference Group will be able to contribute feedback and share their insights to help inform Council on a major local project,” said the Mayor.

Adjoining building and business owners, who will be directly impacted by the design and construction of the multi-level car park, will also be able to nominate to form part of the Project Reference Group membership. Those individuals will be directly engaged with by Council Officers regarding the project and Project Reference Group membership.

Closing date for expressions of interest is Sunday 29 October 2023 at 5pm, with one membership available in the community member category.
