Latrobe City, Victoria – Calling all badminton enthusiasts! The future of the sport is coming to Latrobe City on June 1-2, 2024, as Badminton Victoria (BV) hosts the exciting 2024 AIA U/15 and U/19 Junior State Circuit.

This two-day tournament is more than just a competition; it’s a platform for Victoria’s most promising young badminton players (under 15 and under 19) to showcase their talent and dedication. Spectators can expect a thrilling display of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

“This is the second year of a three-year agreement between Council and Badminton Victoria to host this competition in Latrobe City. Our partnership allows Council to help support the growth of badminton in the region,” said Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Darren Howe.

“It’s fantastic to have the facilities to host Victoria’s emerging badminton athletes in Latrobe City. It gives players a chance to progress in their sport, while bringing visitors to our region. It’s also a credit to the Latrobe Valley Badminton Association, who have driven participation locally and established a welcoming and inclusive sporting culture.”
