The campaign responds to recommendations from the 2025 Anti-Bullying Rapid Review and aims to increase awareness of bullying and other harmful behaviours, build confidence to take action, and connect people with practical information and support.
Minister Clare said:
“The campaign makes us ask ‘what if this was my child?’ so we can spot it and stop it. We know if we’re going to properly tackle bullying, we need to nip it in the bud and to act early”
Audiences are directed to LetsStopBullying.gov.au, the dedicated campaign website, that also houses resources intended to help parents, carers and young people respond to and prevent bullying and other harmful behaviours from impacting school-aged children.
Co-chair of the Anti-Bullying Rapid Review and psychologist Dr Charlotte Keating said:
“Bullying today is no longer limited to physical shoving and name-calling in the playground. It can be quieter and less visible, but the harm it causes is very real.”
Dr Keating’s co-chair, Professor Jo Robinson AM added:
“This campaign provides communities with essential tools to recognise the possible signs of bullying and understand the actions they can take to help prevent and address harmful behaviours early.”
