Launching business network for City of Whittlesea

City of Whittlesea businesses will be able to connect, collaborate and learn from each other thanks to a new membership-based program endorsed by Council at its meeting on 21 March.

The City of Whittlesea Business Network will be open to all businesses operating within the municipality, offering support, training and networking opportunities.

Administrator Chris Eddy said the Network was a key initiative outlined in the recently adopted Strong Local Economy Strategy 2022-2026 to support innovation and development to enable success.

“The Strong Local Economy Strategy sets out some clear priority actions that will help our City foster a strong and prosperous local economy by supporting our existing local business to grow and attracting new ones to set up in the municipality,” Mr Eddy said.

“Helping our business succeed is an essential step in fostering the jobs growth we need for our rapidly growing community.”

“The City of Whittlesea Business Network will provide our local traders and organisations with the opportunity to engage with other businesses across the City, establishing new relationships and collaborations and increase business-to-business transactions.”

Members will also be able to attend member-only networking events, access mentoring and industry-specific programs and training.

In addition, one member of the City of Whittlesea Business Network will have the opportunity to sit on Council’s Business Advisory Panel as the small business representative.

The City of Whittlesea Business Network will be officially launched on 31 March 2022, with the program set to begin from July 2022.
