Leave terrorist’s children where they are: Bernardi

The orphaned children of notorious Islamic State fighter Khaled Sharrouf say they want to return to Australia from Syria and insist they are no threat to the Australian community. Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi thinks there are more pressing domestic issues the federal government should be attending to.

The children were taken to Syria and the Islamic State (IS) group by their mother and Sharrouf’s wife, Tara Nettleton, in February 2014 and the 17-year-old is seven-and-a-half months pregnant with her third child.
