WA Police Force officers have charged a 62 year old man after executing joint search warrants with Australian Border Force (ABF) officers at his Leeming home on 17 May 2019.
It will be alleged ABF officers intercepted a child-like sex doll at a Perth freight depot on 16 May 2019.
Child-like sex dolls are a prohibited import under Customs Prohibited Regulations 4A (1b) of the Customs Act 1901.
The doll was subsequently seized by the ABF and the following morning (17 May 2019) ABF and WA Police Force officers executed joint warrants at the man’s residential property.
WA Police Force officers seized a number of items and the man has been charged with 4 x Possession of Child Exploitation Material, Possess Drug Paraphernalia, Possess a Prohibited Drug and Possess a Prohibited Plant.
He will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 14 June 2019.
Commonwealth charges for the importation of the child-like sex doll are likely to follow.
