Let Hidden Treasures Hunt begin

Baw Baw Shire Council has launched a treasure hunt to encourage the community and visitors to identify pieces of public artwork across the Shire.

Towns throughout Baw Baw Shire are home to different pieces of public art, including sculptures, statues, murals, paintings or any other artistic form.

The Hidden Treasures Hunt aims to broaden Council’s public art register and assess the condition of each piece to develop an ongoing inspection and maintenance program.

To participate in the treasure hunt, download the Snap Send Solve app onto your smart phone and start searching for local pieces of art.

Whoever submits the most pieces of public art will receive two double passes to a show of their choice at West Gippsland Arts Centre and a $100 Albert and Smith meal voucher. Runner-up prizes are also available.

To be eligible to win, all images must be of public art located on public land in Baw Baw Shire.

Submissions close 31 March 2021.
