Licence for food trucks to service Snug Cove precinct

The NSW Government has granted a temporary licence to the Eden Visitor Information Centre to allow vendors including mobile food and drink vending outlets to service the Snug Cove foreshore precinct at Eden.

Member for Bega Andrew Constance said the licence has been granted by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment and is effective for use immediately.

“The Snug Cove waterfront precinct is a key area for visitors to Eden as well as a hub for local residents so it’s important that food and beverage services are in place to support them and bring life to the area,” Mr Constance said.

“The Department has been working with stakeholders including Bega Valley Shire Council, the Port Authority of NSW, the Eden Chamber of Commerce and the Eden Visitor Information Centre to explore options and find workable solutions to keep the precinct activated.

“Discussions with the Eden Visitor Information Centre have resulted in a temporary licence being granted to allow the placement of mobile food and beverage vans in the Snug Cove precinct to service the area through the coming summer and Easter periods.
